Marco Potenziani is a Researcher at the Visual Computing Laboratory of ISTI-CNR (Institute of Science and Technologies of Information - National Research Council) in Pisa, Italy.
He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Pisa, and a Master’s Degree in Information Engineering from the University of Siena.
His research interests include several fields of Computer Graphics. Cultural Heritage and scientific visualisation are the main application fields for the technologies developed.
Engaged in several national and international research projects, developer of the open-source tool 3D Heritage Online Presenter (3DHOP), Associate Editor of the ACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage (JOCCH), CNR expert for the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MiSE) projects evaluation, he taught a course on “3D Graphics for Cultural Heritage” at the University of Pisa, and served as a reviewer and IPC member for several scientific conferences and journals.
