New PhD Course on Geometric Computing for Design and Optimization

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new PhD Course titled “Geometric Computing for Design and Optimization”, which will take place in Spring 2026 (May–June) at Politecnico di Torino.
The Course will be taught by Francesco Laccone and Davide Pellis and is organized within the PhD Program in Civil and Environmental Engineering. While rooted in this program, the course is open to all PhD students interested in advanced computational methods for geometry-driven design and optimization.
This course will explore the theoretical foundations and practical applications of geometric computing, with a focus on its role in modern design processes, simulation, and optimization techniques across engineering and related disciplines. Further details regarding schedule, syllabus, and registration will be in the course webpage.
